This time last year

Last week we spent a lot of time reminiscing about what we were doing this time last year. A year ago we were off to Mexico with no plans, no hotel reservations, and no idea where we were going to go. We just each had a backpack and Mrs. Bluth had done some research and brought a piece of paper that listed possible cenotes and adventure items we could visit. We celebrated our anniversary at a hostel that was not private and went to sleep in separate beds listening to all the other guests discussing their travels over some cerveza. We spent a night in a cabana right on the beach and listened to the waves all night long and then saw the most beautiful sunrise from our bug net bed. We rented bikes and rode all over little towns and ate some delicious food. We climbed into some underground caves to go swimming, hitch hiked and took locals buses all over Southern Mexico and we went and moved forward trusting each other.

Last week we celebrated our anniversary with calming our sweet baby girl down after she had a very rough and tearful day. We were "enjoying" freezing cold temperatures and a heater blasting all day and all night which just dries us out. But we did go to bed listening to the sound of ocean waves because that is our favorite setting on Adaline's white noise machine. Thankfully, we still are moving forward and trusting each other.

We honestly can't wait for our next international adventure, but we are loving the current adventure we are in right now. I wonder where we will be and what we will be doing in a year from now. Now there are three of us moving forward and trusting each other.
