Teeth - Her two bottom teeth popped up over night and her adorable gummy smile is now gone. Throughout her life I would always blame her crankiness on teething when I couldn't figure out what was wrong, but we definitely did get to experience teething this month which lead to her trying Tylenol for the first time as we were all desperate for her to have some relief. Her teeth are still adorable and her smile shows them off well.
Sitting up - Let's just say that she rather quickly learned how to elegantly go from her tummy to sitting up by herself. It just looked so effortless the first time that she did that she just never stopped. I think this new trick led to her being a much happier baby because she likes to be in control and she doesn't like to miss out on anything so she has finally been able to feel more a part of the party!
Crawling - It didn't take much time after she learned to sit up by herself to realize that sitting up was just not enough so she now can join any party in any room. Her crawl is rather entertaining as she drags her right leg around. She also can sound like Baby Frankenstein because she hits the hard wood floors pretty hard with her hands and at first it was a rather slow movement. I guess you can say it is easy to track her because she is not quiet as she crawls.
Standing up - Before that lovely 8 month mark hit she acquired the skill to pull herself up in places such as the bathtub and the couch. While her balance was off and if her parents were not quick enough it would usually end in a tumble, but the girl did not stop pulling herself up.
She still loves being outside, swinging, playing with the children I nanny, and just being with anyone. She loves attention and lucky for her she gets plenty of it all the time from her parents. I must mention that she is still working on solid foods and naps. Who wants to nap when you can play all day?!
*Monthly pictures are almost impossible because she will not sit still.
